Since its formation in January 2002 Wichita Archer Clay Christian Women’s Job corps (CWJC) has been dedicated to helping women achieve financial and personal success in life. Through a six month to one year mentorship and education program we have encouraged women to be self confident an productive while developing meaningful relationships. |
CWJC is a non-profit women’s ministry that serves women in Wichita, Archer and Clay counties. It is an independent site with training and connectional support from Women’s Missionary Union. Our local site is supported by a wide variety of denominations who share a common heart for showing God’s love to women and families. |
Gabriela Nesbitt, Executive Director of Christian Women’s Job Corps (CWJC), began her service with CWJC as Assistant Director in January 2008. In May, of that same year, Gabriela stepped in as Executive Director. Her experience working as Director of Protestant Religious Education & Accounting Technician for Tithes and Offerings for the Air Force Chapel of Chaplaincy has more than prepared her for the daily responsibilities & duties in her role as Executive Director for CWJC. Gabriela was born in Mexico and raised in Animas, New Mexico with Spanish being her native language. And compliments of the US Military, it has been her family’s privilege to travel the World and enjoy different cultures and nationalities; spending time in Hawaii, Germany, Arizona, Missouri, Arkansas and finally arriving in Wichita Falls, TX in 2003. |

Gabriela is also a single parent of a very handsome 12 year old son. While the circumstance is not what she had planned, it does give her insight into the struggles of being a single parent in our current age. This understanding is translated daily into compassion and love for the broken lives that walk into her office every single day. Gabriela purposes to introduce Jesus Christ to the lost & defeated. She says, “A soul must have certain resources to keep life going on a given day or week--resources like air, water, food, and a sufficient distance from sharp objects. To be able to look forward more than a few days takes another list of resources--things like knowledge, friends, health, and a sense of purpose”. And this is exactly what Gabriela, along with a host of Volunteers, manages to do every single day at CWJC. |

Carol Renick Adams - After 20 years in the banking industry, beginning as a New Account Representative, and working her way up to Branch Manager, her desire was to take classes at Vernon College to further her interest in working with children & families who wanted to improve their lives. Early Childhood Development and Drug & Alcohol Counseling were two classes that peeked her interest in a new vocation. Part-time employment during this period led to another 10 year career as Executive Administrative Assistant to the President of a local manufacturing plant. Introduction to Christian Women's Job Corps was through church involvement, serving lunches, encouraging the long-time passion to help women realize their God given inner beauty, and desire to make better decisions in their lives. |
After retiring from Saint-Gobain Vetrotex America, Carol's organizational skills led her back to volunteer work at CWJC, which quickly turned to part-time employment as Assistant Director in April 2009. Since that time she has not only had the opportunity to help other women, but has been blessed BY other women who bear out the promises of God in changed lives. Carol was born & raised in Wichita Falls, except for the 4 years she attended, and graduated from Paschal High School in Ft. Worth, Texas. Her family returned to Wichita Falls and Carol went on to college at North Texas University in Denton. Carol's careers have allowed her active involvement in the Wichita Falls community and in her church. Among some of her memorable efforts are Co-Chair of March of Dimes, on the Board of the Red Door Senior Citizens Olympics Committee, Chairman of Saint-Gobain Vetrotex Off-The-Job Safety Committee, Wichita Falls "Tough Love" Coordinator. Her current activities include Chairman of her church's Annual Fiesta del Barrio, and Vacation Bible School Director. She has been Children's Church Director, helped with the Children's Choir, is Chairman of the Nursery Committee, and serves on the church Council. |
